Got my exhaust valves out while I'm having a bit of a head swap about and they all look pretty coked up...

Will I see any benefit in decoking them while they're out? . . I know in theory it'll increase flow but is it likely to make any sort of measurable difference?

If so, what's the best way of doing it...

Thanks

Doesn't look that bad at all. If they were really coked up then I would say clean them.

If you do plan to clean them depending on what tools you have then you could stick them on a piller drill or drill at slow speed and use some emery cloth on them but be very careful of the valve seating area.

your not going to get any power gains from what you said. They would need to be cut back but not something I would recommend. Fit super tech valves and be done

I've always used a wire brush on a drill and just been careful. Do it before you lap them in and it should be fine. I've built a few heads doing it this way and not had a problem.
