Hi I have a 2001 s3 210. Recently it has started to splutter and not boost properly it does this for about 100 miles before the engine management light comes on then it stops spluttering and I get about half the usual boost as long as I'm gentle with the pedal. If I'm heavy footed it feels as though it's holding back. When I reset the management light it splutters again really badly to start with then gradually gets better until the light comes bk on. The fault codes say its miss firing on cylinders 1 3 & 2. Has anyone else had a similar problem or can shed any light on what this could be. My local specialist has run out of ideas.

It's ****ed.

If it wasn't, it is now.

What are you doing driving a misfiring car 100 miles? As said, it's more than likely the coil pack loom. But now, it's going to be probably scored bores, det and bore wash.
