Anyone modified their air-vent to fit a boost gauge?

Just bought one of these gauges. I thought it would match the S3 interior quite well.

I am planning on mounting it in the driver side air vent. Anyone done this before? Anyone know the cost of a new vent so I can practice on?

A new vent shouldnt be much more then £30. You could buy a single gauge pod cut out a curcle in the slats, fit it in, and 'glass in in place neatly, so you will have a working vent!?

Thats what I was gonna do Rich. I can't see how it could be that to be honest. Illumination is already there as the wires are already running to the vent dial so I could easily tap into that.

Hopefully it will be as straight forward as we think..

I m sure someone on here got a gauge with almost the exact same detail of the audi dials & mounted in a pod on the A pillar & it looked great, search for it, it wasnt long ago.

I remember that someone mounted one in the centre vents on a LEON some time back.
