    Misfire help?

    Hey guys sorry for all the problem posts I've been doing lately lol
    right drove my car today and was fine then put my foot down off a junction and it started to judder misfire and just had loose of power
    pulled over and at idle it's fine revs up ok but when I drive off it was very slow and kept misfiring
    ive been reading that it could be the ignition amplifier on the air box!
    Whilst looking over the car when I bought it I noticed that there was a Aesir type thing in the air box that had not wires going to it but the car ran ok and didn't think much of it at the time
    my car is an x reg 2000 aum engine does this use the ignition amplifer or is it straight from the ecu?

    I ment there was like a sensor like maf but on the Side of the air box!?

    I would see if you could get the car scanned for any fault codes 1st.

    It sounds to me like it could be a coil pack though to be honest.

    I scanned it 2-3 days ago nothing will scan again with vcds and see what it says
    Can I check output of the coils via vag com?

    Run diagnostics and come up with
    Pressure drop between turbo & throttle valve check D.V
    When I got the car my mate said that the diverter valve was installed the wrong way the car did feel a little sluggish so swapped it round today it drive better until it started to play up cleared the dts and went for a drive was fine just wanted to know which way the diverter valve goes please as been told 2 diff ways
