Intake hose for the S3 8L

Could you knowledgeable bunch have a look at eBay item number 180962858707 Please

Does that bit of hose attach to the end of this

Its to replace that pink hose at the top of the phot... gawd knows where or when that was fitted !!!!
Also while I'm here... where does that black hose go that's between the manifold and the skoosh bottle with the blue top go? I wouldn't mind that being blue while its in bits

    Thanks in advance

    Rich

What's wrong with a bit of pink

I would also recommend to use some heat shield to protect that silicone piece, it sits very close to the exhaust manifold.

Ebay item 121263687152 replaces the pipes circled red in this photo. From Charge pipe to intercooler and intercoolers to throttle body.

That pink pipe is the standard item, they start red but has probably faded. Unless it has a hole it in theres no point in replacing it really.

If you really want to replace it this is the part you need
    Forge Silicone Boost Hose 1.8T 210/225 - S3 (8L) - Audi - Shop By Car | Awesome GTI

Saying that a mate had one of the Forge items on his car and it didnt last very long before a massive hole blew in it on the track. he has since put his standard item back on and its still going.

just be aware that this pipe is better be made of another material than silicone (or at least something added to the silicone) that makes it tolerate the heat alot better. I just forgot the name of that material...im sure someone will correct me on this

So using these blue hoses will be ok then and leave the pink one as is! lol

I've had to buy a new turbo induction hose because the old one was like this

!!! do I recon while its in bits it would be a good time as any to put blue hoses in

My TIP looked the same as yours! A Badger5 silicone TIP is a worthy upgrade when coupled with a Jetex blue cone filter. And you can get the TIP in blue also!

    Quick TIP fitting question

I dont think the blue pipes are worthwhile, if you ever thinking of an FMIC they will be replaced.

TIP is probably one of the best cheap mods around but!

Nomex I believe is the compound your refering to?

Nomex hose on my turbo outlet on the k26 lasted well over a year, whereas the normal mrsilicone elbow didn't last 2 months lol
