Been doing some reading on the subject and spotted this thread on the vortex. It makes for some very intersting reading as to why people shouldn't fit polyurethane bushes to the rear of FWD A3's or Golfs.
It describes with animations how polyurethane is not a good substance to resist all of the intended bush movement on VW/Audi torsional rear beams.
Also explains why the rear mounts are cleverly set at an angle.
