Key fob case replacement

Hi,

New to the forum recently purchased a S3 8L and the key is fairly old and worn so wanted to change the casing.

I managed to take it apart fairly easily but can't pop the transponder/chip out, does anybody have any useful thoughts or suggestions on this?

Dremal and lots of care mate... gonna be doing the same on one of my keys soon...

A bit of heat may soften things too but they are pretty glued in :/

Hi thanks for the reply sounds like a job for a warmer day. Lol.

The mk4 golf ones were far easier just used to pop out.

I tend to use blutac no glue when fitting new chips for this very reason.

Can't you go to one of those key cutting shops where they just clone the RFID chip?

To date the chip used is not clonable.
