coil pack failure now engine management light on

Hi all, had my engine rebuilt not to long ago. problem now is I had a coil pack go down today and engine management light came on.

so I changed the coil pack but the engine management light is still on. could this be because of the coil pack failure and it just needs reseting to turn the light off.

Any help would be great cant get to a garage as all local ones are closed tomorrow and have to do a long run Monday.

It maybe as its still in the memory, does the car run as normal now?

Thanks for the reply. yea the car is running as normal. the light started flashing then went on constant. so I changed the coil pack and the light remained on.

Well see if you can get it scanned and see how you get on once all fault codes have been cleared, it should be ok then.
