I know the headlight thing has been done to death, but i have searched for 2hrs this morning and cant find the answer to this.

I have an MOT in 10 days and my S3 Xenon lights have a series of problems with adjusters, broken clips and adjuster cogs shattered..

So my question is, can I just buy the cheap replacement Depo Halogen H1/H7 units and bulbs and just plug them in to the S3 as a quick temp fix ?

I will then sort the original units out at a alter date when I have time on my side.

Yes you can! Worth while getting a HID unit from Trups at EM tubing (on here) and using that instead of your s3 lamps. I opted for the 55w 6000k and it's bright, pure white (no blue) abd with a perfect! All cheaper than 1 xenon unit.

Remember the original ballast runs D2S bulbs so if your new unit runs H1 then ballast will need to be changed anyway.
