S3 Audio Question

Hi,

I have a 53 S3 with Bose. My Bose headunit was replaced by audi under warranty. But now when i switch it on i don't get the Bose logo appear and also doesn't sound right.

is there a quick way to find out if the headunit is the bose one or are the both the same.

i think the one they replaced isn't the bose one.

does anyone know how to check?

It should be saying Bose, I think it needs sorting with VAG com, don't think there is any difference to the actual unit, they just haven't done it right - typical. I'm sure someone that's 100% will be along soon to confirm I'm not talking rubbish.

They will have to log it onto vagcom mate and program the radio for the Bose settings.

This will give it the "Bose" on startup and the correct equiliser settings for the system.

Seems as if they haven't done this and you just have a standard radio at the min!

out of interest, is the BOSE, ever displayed on Navi plus headunits?

Never had it displayed on mine, factory fit nav+, only the badges on the speakers/sub show it as BOSE
