I have been a member of the forum for a while now, but spent most of my time reading others builds and asking for help and info, I have added a few posts on my projects in the past but nothing to major
I have been meaning to create a build thread for a little while but my personal build has been a little slow.
Until now, as it seems to be taking off and things are starting to get MESSY!.

I will throw together the bits and pieces of my build in here in the hope it is of some help or inspiration to others. It will most likely not be in true chronological order as my memory for dates is appalling.
I started off with no intention to heavily modify as I loved the S3 in standard form. That did not last too long though.
Rather than go through the order in which I have added things, here is a list of the spec changes to my car now:

VW Polo 6N Rear Wiper Arm & Aero Blade

Looking forward to reading more on this. :) x

This is the turbo I've got:

MD421 - Stage 4 Hybrid turbo comprises:

High Flow K06 Billet Aluminium Lightweight Compressor Wheel
Re-profiled compressor housing
Turbo Dynamics designed uprated 360 degree thrust kit
K04 Large trim turbine wheel with lightening modifications for quicker response
Re-profiled turbine housing to suit new turbine wheel
Turbocharger fully blueprinted to motorsport standards
Max recommended boost: 24-26 PSI
Estimated Power Output: 340-360 bhp with correct supporting modifications

Its second hand but only got a few miles on it.
Seems to be in excellent order but getting it checked prior to fitting.

My new design oil catch can.
I have fag packet cad designed this. With the intention of mounting it on the side of the battery bracket.
Pics of mounting to follow once Royal Mail get it to me.

As Scott says the progress of the 8P headlight switch is in his hands.

Received the oil tank today. My fag packet cad design is slightly off so will take a little more tweaking than I had hoped but still confident that it will work and be a neat finish utilising otherwise dead space.

That's a fairly large catch can :)
Nothing wrong with that, here's mine

Update on the performance parameter display.

😤 not good unfortunately. I've been working closely with the developers of this and even had a replacement box through but not making any progress. Seems that for reasons unknown this is not compatible with the A3/S3 DIS
I'm not entirely sure what differs between ours and the A4 or TT ones but cannot make it work. 😭

To get over the disappointment of the PDD. I have tracked down a purchased one of these bad boys.

Let the fun continue.

It annoys me so much tht these little blue boxes cost so much still!

Good work so far Leigh

I agree that they seem to be so elusive and pricey. Only heard good things so I'm hoping its worth it.

Would of thought these days a tuner could have a look at one and write their own equivalent code to make an alternative version.

Quick job for today.
I'm pretty limited to what I can do at the minute after my spine surgery.

Grabbed this after looking for a decent car hands free kit

Was looking at parrot kits etc but was this one was pointed out to me by Scott.

If you have an xcarlink, get one!

Literally plugs into the xcarlink box. Plug in mic and pair it up to phone. Job done and as a bonus can bluetooth music from phone too.
