Anyone one know how much coolant the A3 (TDI) requires in total, how easy a job it is to change, and if you use ONLY G12 collant or you use some G12 coolant and then top it up with water?

The G12 coolant needs to be mixed in the correct proportion for the weather etc (which is explained on the bottle from Audi / VW) not sure how much though - I'm sure someone else will be along soon.

From what I know, what is written on the bottle is the proportion of the fluid and you are not supposed to mix it with anything else

Upto -25degC, anti-freeze concentration should be 40%, so in a 5ltr system, that should be 2.0ltr of G12, and 3.0ltr of water. However 5ltr total may vary on Vehicle type.

Thats from the 4cyl turbo manual. But obviously check the bottle like others have recommended.
