help with removing turbo

can anyone tell me how to get a turbo off a audi a3 1.8t 97 i bought on off a member as mine is dead now trying to get it off so far i have got off 4 bolts that hold it to the exhaust

you will need to remove the Turbo intake pipe (TIP)
and the bolts that hold the turbo to the exhaust manifold
and the turbo oil lines
and the turbo water lines.

can you do it from the top or does it need to be the bottom

just got the tip off the shaft has so much play feels like there is no middle in it
