As title states.... How much?

Today I went out for a little blast with two other members and I thought to myself. I love my S3 to bits. Huge smile arose.

Just done a complete new Discs and Pads. Cleaned the rears.
4 New Tyres
New Forge 008
Given it a quick winter protection. Better one to follow.

Plus its booked in for all New belts, water pump. New diff and gear box oil. Haldex Service.
And I have my Badger5 V2.2 TIP to fit. Some new pipes to replace. N249 delete to do. New rocker cover gasket and oil filter.

Much love and affection.

Still after all the money and time I've spent lately, it still gives me a grin and fun factor.

new set of headlights and hid bulbs s.it i can see

I picked up my S3 from an owner who was selling it due to 'multiple faults', he wasn't kidding!

In 20 months, I've done the follwing;

4 x tyres
refurbed alloys
discs and pads all round
new front wishbones
dog bone mount
rear trailing arm bushes
top mounts
Forge 007
N75
MAF
Badger V3 TIP
Vacuum hoses
breather pipes
dipstick and guide tube
starter motor
alternator
battery
cleaned earth points
driver and passenger window clips
headlamp levelling motor
headlight levelling clips
rear wiper motor
washer motor
new windscreen and trim
4 x coil packs
4 x spark plugs
Haldex service
3 x oil and filter service
passenger recaro height motor and micro switch
washer stalk
after run electric pump
2 x D2S bulbs
refurbed headlights
4 x drop links
ball joints
track rod ends
AP sport shocks and springs all round
2 x full wheel alignment
1 x thermostat
water pump
number plates
replaced cam belt and tensioner, belt was one tooth out
offside engine mount
nearside front inner cv joint gator
carbon canister hose
front and rear ARB bushes

There may be more, but that's all I can remember!

Fortunately, the previous owner had already had it remapped, although it wasn't running well. Some of he spend was preventative maintenance, but most were as a result of issues or faults.

I dont want want to add that little lot up, but thank goodness for VCDS, DIY and of course this website and all the good folks on it!

She runs and drives beautifully now, I couldn't be happier and hopefully that's all for a while!

Wow that's a list and dedication.... Although mine has had probably half of you list done in 18months. Plenty of love making ;-)

Oops forgot to mention my alloys just been refurb 3 weeks ago. Totally made me fall in love once again. Gunmetal grey again the silver bodywork.... Mmmmmm :p

My old girl is in the process of getting far too many shiny bits... but she deserves it :)

Yours is a fine example. Beautifully done may I say.

Mine may one day get to your stage. (just not all the power) lol

I'm in it for the long run and love.... ;-)

It's received more love than my other half has received.. I even had the "your spending too much time on your car" talk, followed by "you need to sort your priorities out" talk. I just said... "Because race car!" And had the puss I'm boots face.. Now she still loves me ;)

The last 2 months:
Black leather recaros out of a s3
N249 delete
Replaced the breathers with silicone
Bought a boost gauge (not fitted yet)
Bought a vent pod (not arrived yet)
Decided to get rid of the breathers and collected all the bits for a catch can (not fitted yet, trying to work out how to do it on a ARY).

Next up: stage 1 Remap.

Given mine a far bit of love lately

Last things were:
Oil and filter change
had a busted coolant pipe so replaced that, flushed the system put in some fresh G12
Diesel Geek short shifter
full Stage 1 paint protection and Duragloss wax

Very near future to do list:
new forward O2 sensor. Giving an error code. I have the sensor just havent had time when the car is cool (daily), and looks hard to get to so avoiding it lol
new afterrun water pump
new spark plugs

That reminds me I got more to add to my list.
Ordered oil and filter to change before my map
Changed dip stick tube after snapping my old one
New spark plugs (not installed yet)

Next few things. New coils (before mapping) and changed all my coolant hoses for silicone, I don't trust old rubber.

I think we're all in that situation. ;-)

Done naff all to mine, only had it two weeks though (1.8T).

Needs an audi ring grill badge, the stereo replacing, the windows to work and a new LCD display screen.

However, seeing as that lot could cost lots of money, I'll probably start by giving it a clean and hoover. Though would like to change the alloys at some point, possibly the leather too as it's got the yellow/cream and I'd prefer grey/black etc

Good place to start. Abit of TLC and good clean. Then "Admire the fine bodywork"

This sounds amazing Dave, heading for the happy side of 400 by the sounds of it!!!

I think you should crack that EASILY Dave, given that I'm seeing 380 sensibly on a stock turbo, and your engine spec with head work and 1900 sounds mega, I reckon 400 on sensible boost won't be an issue.

Are you building the downpipe yourself? Dan's recently finished his on the 4wd car and it doesn't look too bad at all!

Mines has just had new wipers all round, a new flywheel, clutch, clutch slave cylinder, oil, relentless downpipe and decat, and milltek cat-back. that's all this month..

Also had a full winter protection detail done, and I've just bought a set of standard Avus alloys for the winter months, aswell as that I've just won a FMIC on ebay, so that's another thing to get fitted..

safe to say its had a lot of love, and a LOT of money spent on it this month ;)

Some Love indeed.....

Not being basis... But a S3 in silver looks amazing once it shines...
Yours looks stunning.

BTW good choice of mods. ;-)

Mine at the moment has cost £750 within 3 weeks and another £500 to come this week. Can't wait for next summer now. Plenty of road trips.

Thanks! Also has the Badger5 v3 TIP, Heatshield & filter, Forge 007p, N75 Delete, and lowered on Apex springs, LCR Splitter and Wind Deflectors. Once the FMIC is on it'll get remapped, i'm not chasing figures but somewhere in the 270-300 range would be nice, but who knows!

while ive had it (only since feb) its had various bits resprayed (mainly front end and rear) and the usual consumables (bushes, droplinks etc) so it ****** well should be in good nick! lol

Even better mods.....

I have the common rust bubbles above blades to sort out one day but apart from that she is clean.
Been tidying up bits ever now and then. Could do with a good machine polish one day. Have given her a coat of Collinite recently.
Always get comments on how new and fresh the interior looks. It's like show room condition.

Hopefully a FMIC next year and I might push her towards a stage2 although I'm still thinking about a DP as they seem to be issues with most.

Just give her a little hug just to remind her, that your there for her. ;-)

Her smile will be back when the goodies are exposed to her. Lol

I hear you, I'm going to take her out for a spin right now actually! :racer:
So I'm back from my 30 mile blast down some unknown twisty A roads I've never driven on! And I'd like to report the quattro is working again, the car is mighty again, it was a good buzz! :racer:

I have left bumble beast sitting in the drive, while I am away for a month. Its probably going to look like a sand dune when I get back.
But never fear, there will be a borla exhaust to fit, big brakes, clutch switch, brake switch, new plugs, new welded IC pipes and a new MAF
Roll on 50psi muuhahahahaha

Been moving home over the past week or so, 7 car-full loads and two van (mate's van) trips. The little A3 did me proud. I could have spent money on a van but it's really practical.

So, I haven't been doing anything to the car but gave it a vacuum and a wash to get the salt off. I will be giving it a full going over this weekend or next weekend. Need to remove the SAI, fit decat (still....only had a year!!), check the bump stops on the fronts as I think they have failed/are failing. Fit some new tyres, get it mapped, get it MOT'd in Feb, Plastidip a few bits, then when the spring is here I'll sort the rust on the bottoms of the doors.

So, no love for Rowdy the Audi as yet but plenty to come.

Anymore.... Lol

Milly Vanilli the Mini (Austin Mini...), Mohammed the Mini (Austin Mini).... and I never named the mk2 Escorts or the Honda CRX. Christ, I haven't had many cars. I had bikes when I lived abroad so I was on two wheels (or one) for 4 years.
