changing turbo bracket from k03s to k04 on a quattro

is there a easy way of changing the tubo bracket on a 1.8t quattro as the transfer box is in the way to get to the bolts as im guessing the turbo brackets are different

They are different yeah... and its transfer box off to get at the bolts sadly...

thats what i thought, the transfer box looks uite simple to get off but the main question is will it **** out gearbox oil or is it like taking a driveshaft off that sit in a cup i have converted my 1.8t bora to k04 but the a3 quattro looks a little more complicated, i might put it on hold for a littl while tho untill relelntles release the v4 manni

You will lose fluid yes. Shares same fluid as gearbox

so it will be easier to remove the transfer box than dropping the whole gearbox just to change the bracket quattro's are hassel

You will need to drain the gearbox oil (front of the box and on the transfer box itself and you will need to undo a bolt done the middle of the drivers side drive flange..
