Found aftermarket relay, any ideas on this wiring?

Found an aftermarket relay today put there by previous owner, it is on the left of the passenger footwell.

it is spliced into the bottom green connector pictured below, anyone know what that this connector is for?
Wondering what the OEM wiring that has been split does?

I think that green connector is for the door speakers. Looks like speaker wiring to. Not sure why there would be a relay connected to it though. So I might be wrong about the connector.

Yeh could be speaker wiring, have a few more pics below:

the 3 aftermarket wires are red, black and yellow, fairly heavy gauge too. I initially wondered whether it may be some kind of immobiliser thing, but it would be an odd place for it.

I can't really make out what it is but I don't think its a relay. Have you tried to unplug it and see what stops working?

What's going on under the black tape where the yellow and green wires seem to meet?
