1 Week till remap day!

Good Morning! Only one week untill i take the long trip up to R-tech and damn am i excited Going to do a full service before i head up, wanted to ask what oil most people are using? Im currently using Castrol GTX 5w 40 part synthetic. Can i use a fully synthetic oil? And is there anyone in the hertfordshire area who has VAGCOM who wouldnt mind checking my car before i go up. Will pay in beer or cash

Fitted my KO3s last weekend, leon cupra R fuel pump going on tomorrow.

fully synth is a good idea and will do no harm

use 5w40, NOT 5w30 though.

just a question why use 5- 40 instead of 5-30 ?

30 weight oil is too thin, espeically given these cars are all getting on a bit now!

mines a 1999 s3 with a 130 000 on the clock and I've only recently changed the oil should i drop it and use some 5w40 ?

when i serviced mine just over 2 months ago i put this in (130k on the clock) -

Quantum platinum 5w 40

I've been looking on ebay and is this quantum platinum 5w40 is it ok for the petrol engine as its going on about the dpf for diesel engines ?
