Adjusting the gear linkages? S3 8L- with pictures

Hi,

Just a quick question,

I've seen this video

VW 5 speed shifter adjustment for 02J and MQ250 transmissions - YouTube

but on the s3, theres no locking mech on box and the video is for five speed.

So hows it done? Exactly the same process as video, just lock off from inside the car?

& how do you remove the gear shifter surround? I can pull it up and take it off and then all i see is

That is your locking.

The rest is the same
