trip computer

hey guys

right i have a few questions about trip computers

i have a 1998 a3 tdi and really would like the idea of having the trip computer with ,mpg ,miles till empty etc

my questions is did any pre 2000 8l a3 come with trip computers , or was this just say on the s3's

and is there a way to installed a trip computer if they did come with them ?

and what bits would i need ?

any help appreacated

The big LCD display in the middle of clocks?

1998s did come with this.
You need a set of clocks with this that will fit your car, prefacelift with analogue clock, some extra plugs, cables and sensors I think.
Pop over to the A4 B5 section, there is thread by JCB, he's asking to do the same thing on his A4.
The A3 and A4 very much a like in this field.

If you ask scott nicely he may make a loom to fit a golf mk4 dash... im waiting for one, if he has enough demand he might make them! i have a full display mk4 golf dash spare... bug him...

Haha tempting would I need to fit a whole mk4 golf dash board though or will the clocks just fit with a little mod?? Would be crazy though haha
