    Cutting out/Stalling

    Hey guys,
    My 1.8t a3 sometimes stalls or cuts out on me when i come to a stop or dip the clutch, its as if the revs are dropping too quick. I have recently fitted a dump valve (which is comming off soon, bloody annoying!!) but this happened a few times before i fitted it!
    Ive had it checked out and found a fault with the wastegate release valve (I think thats what he said!)

    id put my money on the crank sensor..... i had exactly the same, vag it first though

    just had same problem with my s3, was the MAF

    I was going to say it is maf u could also check by removing the connector
    S3-8L REVO stage 2, Milltek, 3" DP & custom 3" decat, RS2 spark plugs, 4 bar FPR, Green-Cotton uprated upper/lower boost hose & TIP, Front Zimmerman & Ferrodo. LCR spliter. boost gauge, smoothed AB. Aero blades, H&R 5mm spacers. Best time 14.03sec, 0-62 in 5.7sec. 207gs @ 25psi , polished inlet mani. VAGCOM 805.1

    yup agreed,unplug and see if it still does it..... although i dont recall the MAF causing such drastic problems
