Anthracite or gunmetal alloys on silver 8L S3??

After much searching on forums and google searching I cant find a picture of a silver 8L S3 with the above..
Iv got the standard 17" alloys on mine and want to keep it OEM looking but was thinking about getting the wheel colour changed.
Has anyone got a silver car with the Avus rims but in gunmetal or anthracite so I can have a butchers at them??
Or if anyone has a link to another thread i may have missed??..
The only other thing I could think of is a photoshop but im no good at it so if anyone wants to have a go I would gladly share a pic to use..
Any help is appreciated..

If you can get your pic up as well tardinabox that would be good..

Thought black rims had been done to death and I think the gunmetal or anthracite would keep a classier look..

My cars black but I had my Avus wheels refurbed anthracite a few months back I loved the result. The wheels do seem suited to being darker in my opinion.

Is the outer ring of the centre cap a different shade or is it just the light? Almost looks to have a hint of purple??

Yeah it is slightly darker quite glad I had it that way in the end the refurbers idea but it seemed to look right!

Hey Neil,

They are 17x9" with 245/40/17 AD08s. The 8" wide version doesn't have the inset spokes which I was after. The 17x9 Pro Race 1.2 were the standard for the BTCC cars (in center lock of course) for a few seasons.

What brakes are you running ? Will they fit over brembos ? I am running tt reps at the minute, wanted comps but don't want to run adapters and rotas have been done a lot but you have found an awesome looking setup

I run the 18Z Cayenne/Q7/Touareg 6 pot calipers over a 334x32mm Mk4 R32 disc. They should fit over the GT kits etc too as they are a touch smaller. The 6 pot calipers are rather large. I do have to run spacers. The wheels are ET40 and I run a 25mm spacer to clear the caliper. Oddly, if I ran bigger disc (which I think I could, plenty of clearance outwards) I could run a smaller spacer I think.

Thanks, I've always been a sucker for multi-spokes and these just work so well on most platforms. I'd have preferred Anthracite but these look decent.

Well I'm running r32 setup at the moment but they really are not that good, so I got a lcr brembo setup so slightly smaller. I will be going anthracite as my s3 is black

@fisher72 That looks spot on mate, mine used to look exactly like that...think the colour contrast is just right.

I have never been a fan of black wheels, to me they just look lost on a car, unless the car is black and you go for the murdered look.

matched the colour to the centers and it came back with Audi steel grey also had the bibs ch painted the same nilz the colour combination is perfect
