Has anyone got any info on what excactly is involved in retrofitting cruise control (ie costs, difficulty etc)? I am wondering if it is worth doing or not.

Don't know where you are but I got cruise fully fitted to my bora for £140 all in from lookers VW in middlesbourgh. VAG cars are all the same so you could get your's done there

Involves fitting a new indictor stalk with the cruise controls. Then somw new loom to connect to the ECU etc. and then switching the system on vis VAGCOM or similar.

£140? That's a bargain, why would you bother to try & DIY it at that price?
Definately worth it, it's a real licence saver on my A4.
