My A3 1.6 misfires occasionally

The girlfriends A3 misfires occassionally whether the engine is hot or cold and always when pulling from low down (1st or 2nd gear). I need some help with this one because I do not know Audi's. Loss of power is quite evident. Any ideas please?

I'd say check the Spark Plugs for fouling first. If nothing looks obvious, move plugs to different cylinders and see if the misfiring moves with them, if so, could be a coilpack.

coilpacks on a 1.6 Drill? Even my 1.8 isn't blessed/cursed with those /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

IIRC, only the Turbo models have those unless they were fitted to the later models too.

but yes, check the condition of the plugs and leads. Dunno if there are any members in your area with VAGCOM. Plugging this is could point out any error codes that have occured.
