Temperature gauge is not moving to 90

Hey guys. I've noticed lately when I'm driving that my temperature gauge takes ages to get up to 90. Yesterday and today it would'nt go up to 90 at all, even tho I drove for 40 mins. The heat from the AC is uneven too. What can be the cause of this? Thanks for all the replies!

Could be the temp sender, my money is on the thermostat...

If the stat was stuck open it would eventually reach 90

My thermostat needs replacing, it's on the list of jobs for next week, and that's the same symptoms as yours, only really gets to 90 if driving slow round town or stood still, usually sits at 70-80.

Not necessarily, if the thermostat is stuck open the car may struggle to ever hit 90 on the dial, the temp sender is the cheaper option but I bet it's the thermostat.
