    Car cover for the S3/A3?

    Hi all,
I've taken my car off the road over the winter as I do a fair bit of work on it and I'm looking for a decent car cover.

Does anyone else on here use a cover? If so what one do you use? I don't really care about cost

    Cheers Matt

As you are probably aware, you have to be very, very careful as any loose/flapping material + some dirt on the car = nightmare.

I used a specialised car cover on my old ibiza. Retail was approx £200 but I got it second hand off ebay. It was tailored and a snug fit but still caused paintwork damage. I think it's impossible to avoid unless you are using the cover indoors.

Other problem was the local cats took a liking to it for claw sharpening so ended up with quite a few tears in it.

If you have the room, you are better off with something like a folding garage. That way your car is under cover but the cover is held well away from the car. From memory they are around £400.

Cheers guys I don't mind paying £2-300 for a cover, I won't be taking the cover off every week it's only really to keep the crap off as it's stored near a tree at my parents house. Jason do you remember who made yours mate?

It's specialised car covers - Car Covers, Caravan Covers & Motorbike Covers from Specialised Covers product now seems to be called 'Stormshield Lite'
My speedster has a cover from thoroughbred covers - Car Covers, Motorcycle Covers, Protective Covers for Karts & Aeroplanes - Outdoor & Dust Protection Covers but that's in the garage.
