Hi all, I have a slightly different question regarding the conversion from non-facelift to facelift headlights.
I've always wanted to upgrade to the facelift lights but they are always mega bucks. Ive got hold of some new halogen projector facelift headlights which use H1 bulbs. I'm looking to maybe install these headlights into my S3, using h1 xenon bulbs. As the factory ballasts won't fit these new bulbs, I'll probably get some aftermarket ballasts (probably in kit form including the bulbs, like Ultimate Can-Bus HID Headlight Upgrade System - H1 bulb)
I've heard people mention beam patterns being messed up by using xenon bulbs in halogen units, but I've seen it done on other cars with a perfect beam produced, so figure it's worth a try.
My question is this: having not had a thorough look at the current wiring, and that of the kit I'll buy, am I likely to run into any problems creating the wiring needed to plug into the new ballasts?
Hopefully that makes sense!
