How to remove roof rails?

As above really.

How do you actually remove them?

any ideas what the best way? And best equip to use?

I know they just prise out, but what did you use? And which section first?

Easiest way is to start at the boot, use a blunt flat screwdriver covered in some tape to prevent scratching anything and gently prise up and out. When you refit you'll need to be careful not to push the trim in too far.
