ive had the car for nearly a year, its done it since ownership.

car judders under acceleration, however if put the pedal to the floor/futher down it accelerates through the judder.

i suspect its a fueling issue. ive finally got round to changing the fuel filter, and the o rings. still doing the judder.

noticed there are air bubbles in the fuel line (before and after ive changed the fuel filter)

i am suspecting these to be the cause. also car sometimes takes 2 or 3 times to start (will start and die straight away)

how can i remove the bubbles? do they need bleeding? or do the pumps go faulty, or does air enter from somewhere?

any tips on how to sort welcome

car is a 2001 1.9 tdi, 110bhp

Check the thermostatic T on the fuel filter. Wiggle it and see if the bubbles get worse.

On the 110 engine you should have a clear section of hose from the filter to pump on side of engine.

Makes no difference the T piece is secure, and has new ubber o rings..
