Does any one who has Elsawin know what finish the bore needs to be after a re bore?
The finish should have a number, ie type 32 finish, usally has a tranangle symbol after the number.
Obviously i will be honing the bore after machining but need the get the right machining perfections in the bore before hand.

Cheers

Honing specs are normally on the piston specs assuming you are going for aftermarket pistons... they were on my CP pistons...

Cheers Tuffty but i`m after the oem spec of the block, i don't have Elsawin but i`m assuming the bore finish spec should be in the technical data? Like Service limit.
Cheers

Had a quick look but elsa is a bit vague... maybe more data there if I dug about but not had time at the moment...

Cheers dude for finding that.
basically it tells the machinist what cutting speed is required, Bit spec e.t.c
i would imagine the smoothest finish available, ie type 32 finish but then again your gonna hone it afterwards so that`ll ruin the type 32 finish anyway.
