New to Audi's!!!

Hi just purchased a 2001 A3 1.8t sport, the previous owner has put a agu head on the aum block. When I scan the diagnostics I am getting a set point not reached over retarded error, I have seen a post that said this would happen if the vvt wasn't changed over. I am just wondering what I would have to get and do to add vvt to clear the engine code or is it worth just leaving it? Thanks
