Hi guys
I bought the wife an S3 3 months ago and since she has had the car there is a rumbling coming from the rear wheels it's ok in a straight line it mostly happens when she comes of a roundabout and accelerates and also on tight corners, it feels like the wheels are grabbing. I have just done a haldex oil & filter change but the rumbling is still present could it be that the tracking is out ? any ideas what the problem could be would be welcome.

Anyone know the location of the earth lead at the rear as I have been advised it could be the reason why the rumbling is present as it could be the haldex kicking in because the earth lead as broken a commom fault.

Its at the back of the car under the rear passenger seat, near the exhaust.

If you do a search on here for haldex and rear wheels locking up, there is alot of information about it, as there are quite a few of us on here that are having the same problem.

IIRC The gaiter in the pic is the in-board end of the rear N/S driveshaft where it connects to the diff.
