S3 seats into a normal A3

I have electric lumbar support so am I right in thinking that I have the electric cable sorted and just need to wire a switch to the dash for the seat heaters? Or is it not as simple as that?

Couldn't find a FAQ on this topic.

You need to run 2 wires from the dash switch to each seat for the heaters to work. I wouldn't have thought that they are already there.

The switches themselves require an ignition feed, earth and illumination power.

All the temp sensors etc are in the seats so thats all sorted.

Shouldn't be a difficult task really if you are okay with vehicle wiring.

Make sure you fuse the power to the switches.

Sorted! need to source some seats now! anyone had any luck with scrapyards? Hopefully be a bit cheaper than on ebay.

We all have our different "needs". If you feel you need S3 seats, then I guess you should go get some!

What I meant is could I have my Leather seats already in my car converted to heated ?

Yes you can if you feel up to removing the covers etc. Been done a few times. There are after market kits available also. Bit of a job tho.

If you have the later Recaros (non S3 type) then they often come with the heater elements already fitted and you just need to wire it all up.
