AEB inlet manifold on a BAM

When fitting larger plenums, what do you usually do with the steel bracket that holds the dip stick in place? Re fit it or ditch it and secure the dip stick another way?

I have put a tab on mine to fit but most ditch them.. i personally think it is to heavy to have it lying there
