My car developed a problem yesterday, when leaving work. Put the key into the ignition, turn it to stage 2, all is fine, turn the key the entire way in the barrel to start the car and nothing happens. If I then proceed to open the bonnet and give the battrery terminal tray a tap it then starts perfectly if you re-try the key in the ignition. I've tried securing the terminal tray and covering it as the lid has snapped/disappeared. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
