what is this.

hi all. i found this rattling around on top of my gearbox, do any of you know what it is? its not threaded its just a bung for something im guessing, but cant see where its come from.

any ideas????????

Inspection plug, look on the top of your box and you'll see a threaded hole. That's it.

lol, I found the one off mine in the engine bay last weekend. It plugs the hole for the timing inspection. Me and a mate found the hole and he thought it might be to top the gear oil up. Good job we didn't as it's a new clutch jobby if you do this

Apparently they just fall out. This topic reminds me I need to refit mine
