DIS issue

The bottom part of my DIS the red lines part, only works/displays when the doors are open. Once closed it goes blank. Does anyone know what be causing this? It is missing pixels but not to the extent where you cannot see what information it is displaying.
I have a fully working spare set of clocks with a fully working DIS, is it possible to simply swap out the DIS into my clocks?

You can swap the DIS as far as I know. It can be bought separatly from the rest of the cluster so I am pretty sure you can swap it.

As I know a new DIS is around 80$-100$ here in USA/Canada

Have you pressed the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk?

The dis is soldered on to the board.
You can swap them over but it would be easier to swap the clocks and get the mileage corrected and Immob coded. @udiA3 can do this for you if needed.

Chlippo, cheers mate, but ive already got a spare set lf clocks sitting in the house, so hopfully will just swap the entire unit over.
Scott, I did try that initially, but to no avail. funnily enough though the bottom part of the DIS was working ghis morning :S
