Super hot Wing Mirror Problem

Hi, I was driving along today and from out of nowhere my wing mirror fell out "just the mirror bit", luckily it held on due to its electrical wires. I stopped and went to put the said mirror back in and found it was really hot to touch???, I checked the other mirror and this was warm but nowhere near the other. I'm guessing a regulator of sorts has broken. Anyone had this happen?

when i use mine thay do get hot


they only work whn the rear heater is on

I have no heaters or anything on. Weird, I guess I should just disconnect the connecters for now.

My mirrors get hot in the winter when it's below 5c, even with the rear screen off.

Yep that's correct. They should work automatically when outside temp is less than 5 degs and regardless of whether heated screen is on or not.

Does your temp gauge work correctly?
