058 blocked 1.8t's (inline engines) do but 06A blocked 1.8t's (transverse engines) don't...

Afaik the spigot/pilot bearing is not used in transverse engines., its used in longitudinal engines.

I did used one in my rebuild as it helps align the clutch when using the alignment tool that is supplied with my clutch kit.

My FSI crank (RIP :crying:) had a pilot bearing but it came out of a longitudinal engine in from an A4

You don't need it.

No transverse engine I have ever worked on has a spigot bearing so I would say no you don't (unless there is some random variant that does... I am no expert tbh...)

I have only ever seen a spigot bearing on A4's etc, never on cars like Ibiza's, Leons, A3/S3 and TT's...
