Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249) : Open Circuit

    Hi All,

Upon scanning the car, i got this code - and when using a multimeter to check the wiring at the valve end, i got no reading. Tried searching around for suggestions after this but no joy! Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what i can do next?

    Many thanks.

    Jamie

You should get 12v across the n75 plug wiring. The points might be loose, try checking the power supply a bit further down the harness.

    edit, sorry I can't read
    n249 is different to n75

have you done the n249 delete?

Thanks for your inputs. heres where i am now -

Got power readings which are fine and done a resistance test on the n249 valve and that seems fine. Next suggestion? Can anyone explain what 'Open Circuit' means? i assumed it was like a broken cable!

    Cheers!

Also - It has been bypassed, had this code since i bought it, but finally trying to get it fixed

Have you tried clearing the code? Maybe it was an old fault that's not been cleared.
