I have the blue so already have the 50/50 but this did look interesting.

    More info here:
The Powertrack Insert; The best way to improve your Haldex first generation traction! | Audi TT Tuning: Make an Audi TT RS out of my 3.2 V6 Turbo MK1 8N

It's not locked 50/50 but drops to 95/5 when cruising apparently.

The stock system does send 50% to the rear, its just v slow, and rarely does it. Thats what vag publish anyway, all the haldex allow 50/50.
What would great is permanent 50 split, but system still allows slip for turning etc.

The only difference between the orange and blue is that the orange stays engaged under braking and can often result in the groaning during low speed manoeuvres (parking etc). The blue disengages under braking.

Mines been great. I never get any diff groaning or noises from struggling tyres

This might be a good solution since the aftermarket controller prices have rocketed.

Surely you'd just want to mimic the behaviour of the blue controller or do you want it under braking too? I'm not sure there's much point adjusting the bias is there? Since you can't transfer more than 50% to the rear?

I might copy the insert first

50/50 isn't really ideal so i was thinking of making a simple adjust so you can have a 60/40

Why is 50/50 not ideal? Obviously more rear would be better. If only it was possible

Hi Andrew. Sorry if im being stupid and im missing something. In the first post there is a pin being used. In thread 21 you show a dash dial and in thread 23 its an lcd display yet you say it will be like all of them but half price. Prices on these vary between 130 and 950 euros. Which route is it and is your plan based on the pin idea also. Sorry if im missing something. Sure i probably am. Daz

As I said before I just need to borrow a haldex controller.

There are two types of controller so I may need to borrow two of them so I can it covers them all

According to the table, it'll result in more diff groaning at low speed and leaves the rear engaged under braking and handbrake. That seems to be where the differences end?

I've possibly got a spare controller, but does anyone know the actual difference between the supposed non esp and esp controllers?
Only reason I ask is my controller currently on the car, although working has oil migration through the wires to the rear plug, car is a facelift 2001 with esp, I have another controller but it's off a 2000 TT and am unsure if the TT had esp or not, so am unsure about swapping it out for mine.I guess I could plug it into the car without actually fitting it and if it shows up and I can run the output tests with vcds then it should be ok when fitted and driving?

sorry to go slightly off topic, but it is sort of related
Hours of googling and I am none the wiser about esp and non esp controllers, their doesn't seem to be a definitive answer

    I had your problem.
oil migration to rear plug, it was the pre charge pump, not the controller.
I could smell the burnt out motor in the pump when i removed from the car, oil leaked into the pump and ruined the motor.

I did find a failed pump which I have replaced, but surely the oil can't of got from the pump up through the controller and too the plug where it connects to the car? which is the plug I was referring to, sorry for the confusion and sorry for the hijack again.

if anything it will be the opposite, now, as standard the haldex coupling is constantly working the clutch pack based on so many variables, speed, throttle position, load, wheel spin etc.

If theyre more locked all it will have to do is open up a little when turning.

They are a 10plate wet clutch system too, pretty durable. Take more torque than people think. All the haldex drag cars still use stock haldex couplings with 6/7/800lbs torque goimg through them.

Mine has been fine since changing the pre charge pump.(no migrating oil in the plug.
Yes the oil can migrate through the wires mate.
