Hi there just a question on air filters have heard that putting a 57i induction kit or similar is not the way to go, has anybody fitted a k&n replacement panel filter or such like and are they worth fitting,is there a power increase or are u aswell leaving the standerd job in?

Yep, no point going aftermarket..

just change the standard filter regularly (only cost about £6!

Definite gains over stock item when your trying to push over 300bhp through the standard box i use a green cotton panel filter and enlarged feed to the standard box.

agree with Ryan, you need more feeds to notice difference, also agree with David no real difference in overall hp but response of the engine is much quicker, i've used the panels on my last 6 , 4 of them NA responded very well, 2 turbo'd spooled quicker, panel worth a go and decide what you think, think induction kits are a waste of time as you say, if find that despite feeding them with cold air still suck lots of hot engine air so junked mind 5 years ago after few days with it

i'd say try the panel filter see what you make of it
