Help! I can't see!!!

OK, slight exageration, but the lights on my A3 are poo!

I have upgraded the bulbs to Osram Silver stars (+50%) but the low beam is still useless. I drive a lot of dark country roads and the ability to see is a big advantage!

So, has anyone upgraded to HID units for the dip beam? The main beam light is fine, it's just the dip beam that is useless!

Are there any other options to HID?

Any help muchly appreciated.

Get the alignment checked first. My A3 had terrible dipped lights when I bought it, compared to my previous car (Ibiza), and I upgraded the bulbs- slightly better- then it failed the MOT on alignment, and after adjustment they were not too bad at all.

IIRC, Rich has fitted HID bulbs. I fitted the xenons out of a S3 to mine. They are a helluva lot better but while they will for now pass an MOT, they are illegal since you need washers and self leveling. That said, from what I read mine are more level than a lot of the S3s /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
