A3 8L Air Con Fluid Capacity?

Hey guys, so ive finaly fitted a new re-charge valve and lost all my Air con fluid. How much does it take from empty? If i buy a [h=1]ez chill r134a air conditioning recharge with trigger dispenser Will it be enough to re fill it or are these only used as "Top ups"?[/h]

Nothing useful to add except I'm in the same boat after an engine change and was wondering exactly the same thing!

On the basis I've seen posts saying 1 can is enough to top up 2-3 cars I'm guessing 2 cans might be needed?

There must be a local aircon place that can do a full re gas for £30/35 surely? That's how much it is in Brum at an aircon specialist. I've purchased a can of ez chill before, and it was great to recharge three different cars for the price, unsure if one will do a full re gas though?

Everywhere around me seems to want £60+ for a recharge, haven't checked refill pricing!

Yeah ive deciede to take it in to the garage today for a full re-charge.. Costing me £49 so will see if its worth the hasle now..lol

Cant really go on the EZ recharge description as if it says can do 2-3 cars then that will depend on how full or empty the cars are.
