s3 starting problems

hi iv just bought a audis s3 with a amk engine and if the car is left stood for a few hours the car wont start 1st time you crank it over but if you turn the ignition off and try crank it again it starts it dosent have any error codes i know the cam chain tensioner is noisy could that cause it ? any help would be apriciated

When mine did similar it was the fuel pump dying, eventually it would not start at all, but also check the coolant temp sender..

cheers when it starts it misfires for a few seconds but runs fine when its running
