Oh man!!

Sorry to hear this, saw this car about a few times, shame to see it go :(

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but this was my old car!

I purchased it from Coventry Audi back in 2009 as an approved used car and then sold it to a chap from Stratford upon Avon. Original plate was SB51Y**. Glad to see it found its way back to the forum, but gutted to find out it has been written off, it was a fantastic car and a rare colour combination. I still miss it!

Best of luck finding a replacement.

Chris

Cabby I remember when you bought this car! (Remembered as it was from cov as am I.)

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I now just bought this car and imported it to Ireland. Any of yous have any history on it or mods etc? Was it remapped? What mileage was it on when you had it?

Some one has spent the money and fixed it up but it should have been sold as a cat D or cat C what ever it was went wrote of. He said it was imported to Ireland not Northern Ireland they are two different country's.

I actually imported it FROM Northern Ireland. and the guy I bought it off, bought it in england about a year before..... contacted the owner who had it when it was written off, he said there was no tow bar and wasnt remapped. but now it is and has a tow bar....

when written off, The damage was to the left wing and front bumper, so that was fixed and sold on I guess... OP said he didnt want to take the risk on the damage to chasis leg so just took the money he was offered.

Passed an MOT a few months ago in Northern Ireland, so im assuming its all good and no issues, as the body is fine, drives fine, and ive had it over and looks good too.

and yeah, dead link for me too.. but I did go through OP's posts and found him on facebook :)

We all love a happy ending!!! :whistle2::whistle2:

Graham, just stumbled across this thread again. When I bought the car from Audi in 2009 it had a factory fitted discreet tow bar, the swan neck was in the boot.

Shortly after buying it from Audi I discovered it had a Revo map, which I removed as it was too aggressive, plus it was under Audi Warranty for 12 months, from memory it also had a forge re-circ valve fitted. I fitted a cat back non-res Milltek exhaust as the original had seen better days. I also swapped the 17's for a set of genuine 18's.

All the history I have went with the car when I sold it in 2010. I still regret selling it all these years later. I really cherished it, it had full Audi history up until I bought it and it was serviced in my ownership by my local specialist APS in Brackley.

Glad to see it is still alive and well.

That's really good to hear all of that thanks for throwing in that info.

It's definitely been remapped again, I checked the air intake and judging by that it's pulling about 237 bhp. Unfortunately none of the history is with the car, must have been lost somewhere along the line which is a shame! I would have put those wheels on it myself and have to say I love the miltek!

It's peace of mind now though hearing it had a good history and wasn't abused because before I had no idea where it had been or who had done what to it. , delighted mate thanks for that!
