Cracked K04

So its seems the K04 turbo is cracked, looks more like its had its own earthquake. The bolts came loose again, so stuck the iphone in there to see whats what and found some long cracks. not sure if thats also a crack near the wastegate arm.

Yet another reason to put the BT engine in.

Any issues from the cracks? Mine was makeing a strange fluttering noise when cold that went as soon as the turbo had warmed up. Also the max Airflow was total crap.

No issues that I noticed. Cold start is normal and it was pulling well on the increased boost. Stock map now so feels like a tractor these days. I do have a loudish whistle sound at low rpm, like the turbo is starting to spool but I think that's because of the large filter.
