hI everyone this is my first post so hope you like it 
Been having some noise problems when on cold start, my SAI playing up again so decicded to have a look firstly to find out is this is the problem on my car the pump is at the front divers side below the air con pump and looks like this but in car

to find out if this is the problem start the car cold and go under the front and look at SAI and put hand under feel if air is coming from it if so squeeze the pump and this should stop it and the noise ( did for me) if so this is your problem and is either £400 od from dealers £100 from ebay aftermarket or £5 and an hour of time for this fix

10mm spanner
drill 5mm metal drill bit
pilers
screwdriver
6 x 4mm x 35mm pan head slotted machine screws (bottom pics)

So to remove the SAI you dont need to raise it up or anything (if anyone has a link with photos to remove would be greatful as is hard to take pics when doing by yourself ) look under at he pump you will see the bracket which is round on this there is three 10mm bolts two are easy to see the third is towrds the engine near a rubber pipe once these bolts are loose remove power cable plug and the two hoses at the top of the pump, and then just wiggle it out there is a rubber pipe that gets in the way just pull to the side gentley should just pop out now thats done you will have this

Now when you look side on to the pump you will see some rivets 6 of them well some minght be gone this is why they make so much noise, shake them selfs loose, https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...876021.-2207520000.1370635144.&type=3&theater dont have a pic of the rivets as i forgot to take but the will be in place of these bolts !!
take your drill and gentley drill out the rivets and replace with the pan head machine screws and bolts and tighten up i had to cut the ends off my bolts as i used 50mm long anyway that done it time to put back in car in the reverse order of getting out !!! am sure this will save folks some cash cheers
