Coil sign stays on dash after starting the car.

Does that mean they glow plugs need replacing, and are they easy to do yourself or should I get a local garage to do them?

the coil sign is a MIL lamp, check you brake lights (and the rest) are working (the switch on the pedal can fail) if all the lights are working you need to get your fault codes read
