Advice on looking for an S3?

I'm off to see an S3 a guy at work is selling tomorrow.

He's VAG mad, has a mk1 gti golf (from new), polo gti, 8l S3 and an rs4 he picked to retire with.

Just wondering if there's much I should check other than the usual?
