hello again,

decided to get around to sorting my oil pressure gauge as it wasnt working (reads 120psi constantly)

while doing so i took the dipstick out and its got sludge on it...

the garage said when they last looked at my car that because of the catch can im getting a lot of condensation in the oil
is this normal or have i set it up wrong?

Thanks
Tim

What happened when you cleaned it off and dipped it again; loads more sludge or barely any?

Very little would indicate just condensation.

i think it is condensation but i never used to get it before fitting the catch can so is there anyway to reduce the amounts that collect?

This might be the cause of your knocking noise while things are cold.
Drain it, flush it, refill it

just looked at the lid and its now mostly white/yellow? so its getting worse.
i have only driven it about 20 miles in the past week so i know its condensation from not driving it but is there anyway of stopping this?
